Frequently asked questions on working time

How do I track my working time as a professional driver?

Working time tracking for the professional driver is based on digital tachograph data. With Driver Tacho you can review the recorded activity from the driver card, a TGD file or already normalised data.

What times does the driving law set?

European law (Regulation EC 561/2006) sets maximum daily and weekly driving times, mandatory minimum rest periods and breaks during driving. Driver Tacho lets you check compliance with these times from real tachograph data.

Can I review my working time from my phone?

Yes. Driver Tacho works from any modern browser, including smartphones and tablets. You can review your working time from anywhere without installing any app.

What's the difference between driving, other work, availability and rest?

The tachograph records four activity types: driving (time behind the wheel), other work (loading, unloading, inspection), availability (waiting without being able to leave the vehicle) and rest (mandatory inactivity). Driver Tacho shows each activity broken down.
